SHOOTSMARTER Members Cordially Invited!

Hey to all the ShootSmarter members!
I would like to personally invite you to join me for a few in-store seminar and shooting events coming up in Phoenix, Atlanta, and Santa Fe to share some of my simple and powerful ONE LIGHT techniques.  We will use the same studio gear I use in my work, and we will explore some on-camera & off-camera shoe mounted flash work too.
You can find more info about these events, and locations too on ShootSmarter.com HERE.
So please post and questions you may have about the content of these events in this blogspot by clicking the COMMENTS link below,  also post after the event if you can to let me know what you liked and didn't like so we can refine this program for a BIG tour in the upcoming months?
Mucho appreciated-O.  ;  )

ONE LIGHT with Will Crockett

Hi to everyone!
It's Will Crockett here and I cannot tell you how excited I am to be coming to UNA in Flagstaff, College of Santa Fe, and the Creative Circus in Atlanta in the next few weeks.  I'll be joined by some of my long time friends at Bogen to show you some really cool - but simple - lighting I like to do for my advertising clients.
We'll go over how I like to get a Beauty Bowl in position for some crispy "fashiony" light, change over to one of my all-time favorite lights: the ringflash on a battery powered pack, and then I will pull out the lighting that has made more of my clients happy that any other - the soft sidelight using a 6 foot Octa light (I place it unusually close to the subject).  Plan on picking up some workflow tips along the way as I like to in an unusually efficient manner. (click on my smArticles on www.ShootSmarter.com and see some ahead of time)
Then, I'll spend the day with YOU making images and whipping up a creative brainstorm in the studio.
We'll have a blast!
Let me know if you have any questions here as I will check this blogspot to help you any way I can.  Thanks!

Herron School of Art

The Bogen Cafe at the Herron School of Art was an outstanding as well as unique experience. With the support of faculty, students, guests, and staff of both the Indiana Medical History Museum, and Roberts Imaging we could not have asked for more. Congratulations again to our very deserving Scholarship Winner - Susan Peters. Special thanks to Lamar Richcreek - Department Chair, Virginia L. Terpening - Executive Director Indiana Medical History Museum, and Bruce Pallman - Roberts Imaging. Of course, as Steven Katzman so well pointed out "we are here for you. . . it is not about me it is about WE". Enjoy the journey, and always continue to learn and hone your craft. Please "Subscribe" to the Bogen Cafe, add your comments to this blog, and visit the Photo Gallery to view what was accomplished. This is only the beginning.

Best Regards - Paul Wagner

Daytona Beach College Bogen Cafe

Hi all:

WOW! The Bogen Cafe at Daytona Beach College was absolutely outstanding. Standing room only at the Thursday night and Saturday morning presentations by the man himself Steven Katzman. The students, the staff of both DBC and Kingston Cameras Plus, the models, the spirit and support of everyone. Congratulations again to Devin Mathis our scholarship winner. Special thanks to Dan Biferie, Eric Breitenbach, Patrick Van Dusen, Joe Vance, Dave Miller, and other staff members at DBC for their support. Thanks as well to Brenda Trost and her staff at Kingston. The refresments, hospitality, and the models (thank you Joshua) were beyond my greatest expectations. I trust you all got as much out of this experience as I did. Please add your comments below. Now go to your personal gallery on the Bogen Cafe web site to see what we have put up to represent your passion and your craft.
